Taruhei 15 Year Old 40 Percent has a distinctive and sweet scent from sake lees, which combined with the aroma from distillation gives you its rich, deep, and classy flavor. Taruhei has been matured for more than 15 years in our traditional dozo (earthen-walled warehouse). The roughness of this shochu present at the beginning of the distillation process has vanished in the finished product which becomes full bodied and mellow.
