Kumamotojo is made by adding water to the original barrel alcohol to make it 35%. The barrels were purchased in 1965 in new white oak barrels, which were used without daring to rechamber them. Its colour is yellow gold rather than amber. It is made from a cold distilled spirit (Gokuraku Shin ) that has been matured for at least three years and matured for six years in its cask. It is a barrel shochu with a barrel aroma and a 'Gokuraku ' flavour. How to drink: straight, on the rocks, with soda, twisting up, warm water, cocktail base. Pairing: nuts, chocolates, Mitarashi dumplings, simmered dishes, ice cream.
