PR Point

This Newly Brewed Araroka has a classical taste of sweet potato shochu by retaining the original flavor, sweetness, and richness of potatoes. After storing the freshly distilled undiluted shochu for about 30 days in an earthenware pot, it goes through minimum filtration (araroka/rough filtration) process, and water is added to bring the alcohol content down to 25% before bottling. Enjoy the difference in taste and aroma compared with regular Mishimamura, which is produced by storing in a pot (for more than six months) after filtration and blending the undiluted shochu made in different years to standardize flavor. Enjoy the sweet scent of Beniotome sweet potato produced in Kuroshima, Mishima Village and a pure taste achieved by using Kuroshima island’s delicious water. (Our brewery is working on the cultivation of sweet potatoes (Beniotome), the main ingredient of sweet potato shochu, with the islanders. We cultivate from seedlings in a nursery, and everything—from planting in fields to harvesting—is done within the island.)
