Ginza no Suzume Kohaku is Oita barley shochu stored in bourbon whiskey oak barrels. By letting it sit, the scorched part inside the barrels absorbs odd flavors, resulting the barrels to be filled with smoky aroma of oak. It features a smooth texture and a smoky flavor achieved after well maturation.
