Kuroshio is made by blending barley and sweet potato in a 9:1 ratio. This shochu features the toasty aroma of barley and the gently sweet aftertaste of sweet potato typical of atmospheric distillation. We use domestically grown two-row barley, and Satsuma Masari, homegrown sweet potatoes.
