Kuma Shochu is rice shochu with a 500-year history created only in the Hitoyoshi and Kuma regions in Kyushu. We apply our traditional technique and use white koji and shochu yeast, and for mother water, we use quality natural water by specially breaking its molecules into fine particles. By fermenting this at low temperature over time, we have made the liquor into honkaku (authentic) shochu whose characteristics are a gorgeous fragrance and a refreshing taste.
